OUR REOPENING PLAN

Our Sunday gatherings have been redesigned to create a sanitary environment that allows for physical distancing. Due to government restrictions limiting attendance to 30% of building capacity, we are offering two Sunday Worship Gatherings at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Select the gathering you would like to attend, complete our simple health screening questionnaire and sign up. Registration opens on Wednesday morning.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will you continue to offer online Worship Experiences?
Yes! We will have live streaming in conjunction with each of our live gatherings on Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 AM, then it will be posted on our website.

Why do I need to sign up?
Guidelines set by the provincial government limit attendance to 30% of our building capacity. In order to be compliant, signing up will help us limit the number of people attending each gathering to ensure that we stay within our capacity limit.

What type of safety precautions is the church taking?
We are training all our staff and volunteers on health and safety practices, social distancing practices, and cleaning and sanitizing high-touch surfaces throughout the building. More on that below.

When should I arrive at church?
Please arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before gatherings and don’t linger or congregate in the building before or after church in order to allow us time to properly clean and disinfect before and after gatherings.

Where will I enter?
Only the front entrance (facing the expressway) will be open to guests entering the building in order to help us control entry, count guests and maintain safe social distancing practices. Interior doors will remain open at all times to avoid having to touch door handles. Our goal is to provide you with a touch-free experience.

Will I receive a wellness check as I arrive?
No. However, you will need to complete our simple health questionnaire when you register and we are asking you to worship from home if you have any symptoms, such as fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or contact with anyone confirmed to have Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

Do I need to wear a face covering?
Our ushers and greeters will wear face coverings for their safety and yours. Guests will not be required to wear face coverings; however, we do strongly encourage you to wear one for your safety and the safety of others. Face coverings will not be provided to our guests.

What type of social distancing can I expect?
Main floor auditorium seating will be rearranged to ensure social distancing. Families in the same household are encouraged to sit together, but we will ask that you leave 3 seats between you and the next person/family in your row. In the balcony, some pews will be closed off and we will ask that you leave 2 meters or 6 feet between your family and the next person/family in your row. Our ushers will assist with seating as needed.

What type of sanitization can I expect?
Before, after, during and in between gatherings, our sanitation team will be disinfecting the auditorium, door handles, high-touch surfaces and restrooms. You name it…it will be clean! Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the building and you are strongly encouraged to use them!

Will the restrooms be open?
Yes, our restrooms will be open and will be continually cleaned and sanitized; however, we ask that you only use them if absolutely necessary.

Will the cafe be open?
The café and coffee carts will not be open during this first phase of our reopening as guidelines set by the provincial government do not allow for us to provide food or beverages of any kind.

What about my kids?
There will be no kids and youth programs or nursery available at this time, but your children are welcome to attend church with you if you are confident that they will be able sit with you and maintain social distancing. Activity packets will be available for kids at the Info Desk upon request to help keep them engaged. A Moms Room will be available for nursing moms.

What about other groups or programs in the church?
During this first phase of reopening, no other groups or programs will be meeting here in the church.

What other changes can I expect?
We will no longer be passing the plate to receive your offering. New donation boxes have been installed next to all exit doors in the auditorium for your convenience. You can also give at the Info Desk or continue to give online.

On Communion Sundays, we will no longer pass trays to distribute the emblems. Instead, packaged communion cups will be placed in each chair/pew for you to use.
