Ministry Focus: Linda is the Director of Noah's Ark Ministries, located in Banaue, Ifugao, Philippines.  She has been in the Philippines for the past 27 years and has an adopted son and daughter.

Noah's Ark Ministries runs a temporary Home for Children for orphaned, abandoned, malnourished, special needs and educationally disadvantaged children. There are presently 10 babies and toddlers, 22 elementary and high school students, 6 college students and 16 special needs children. The high school students come from single parent families and live in very far-flung villages. In the home they receive proper nutrition, education and love.  The special needs children mostly suffer from cerebral palsy to different degrees.  Through this ministry the children are given a chance for a brighter future and have an opportunity to come into a relationship with God.

Noah's Ark Ministries also provides educational scholarships to students from single parent families or families in crisis. This scholarship is provided through the Child Care Plus program. Also 25 babies and toddlers are given milk, vitamins and health care. Noah's Ark also runs a daycare as a community service.

Ministry History: Linda came to the Philippines on a one year commitment to help her friends start a home for children.  After one year she was asked to stay as her friends were no longer able to stay and continue the work.  That was 27 years ago and Linda is still giving leadership to the Home.  She has adopted 2 children of her own.  God has been so faithful and to date more than 250 children have lived in the Home and more than 750 children have received educational and emergency assistance.  We have a beautiful spacious home where many lives have been changed both physically and spiritually.

Prayer Requests:

  • For safety and protection as the Philippines experiences natural disasters

  • For the children to grow into mature, responsible, God-serving adults

  • For wisdom and guidance for Linda

  • For children, staff and volunteers, that they would have good health, safety, and God's will done in their lives

Location: Romania, Eurasia

Ministry Focus: Dan and Mardell are associate consulting pastors of the Bucharest International Church. This multi-cultural church community offers a relevant dynamic for Romania’s current generation and provides a setting for evangelism, discipleship and leadership development both locally and nationally. Dan and Mardell bring awareness to the very real problem of human trafficking in Romania, bringing encouragement to Iana Matei of Reaching Out in her efforts to bring an end to human trafficking, to provide shelter and restoration to the young victims and to create financial sustainability. In Spain, Dan and Mardell come alongside the pastors and national leaders of the Salem group of churches in the development of their ministries.

Ministry History: Dan and Mardell’s first appointment to Mexico in 1977 was a time of rugged adventure as their home was a 5th wheel trailer and they traveled throughout the country receiving pastoral assignments. After 3 years they settled locally in Guadalajara to further establish a church plant. The next 7 years were spent establishing the Salem church in Alicante, Spain. They began with 9 people and saw the Lord grow the church as national and international teams helped to evangelize throughout the city. Their last 20 years have been in Romania at the Bucharest International Church. Though challenging because of the many physical, spiritual and emotional needs, they have been rewarding years as so many lives have been radically and positively influenced.

Prayer Requests:

  • More national and international workers to support and advance ministries

  • Establishment of the next generation of ministry leadership

  • Ability to meet the diverse and abundant ministry opportunities

  • Self-sustainability of Reaching Out Romania with the successful development of their agricultural land

Ministry Focus: Christo and Sarah Emmanuel are the founders and pastors of Living God Church in the booming city of Chennai, India. Today the Church has more than 500 members and was born with a vision to see lives completely transformed. They have witnessed countless people saved, entire communities touched, many discipled, and others raised as passionate leaders. With the power of the Holy Spirit, they believe that Living God Church will impact the city and generations to come. Furthermore, to reach the social needs of the city, The Life Centre organization was founded with the purpose of holistically reaching the community with the Gospel and care of Christ. Through tailoring courses, Daycare, educational initiatives, and blessing packages, we have seen many of the neediest people in our community blessed and entire families connected to the church. They have also initiated VisionLed Int. Leadership Development Centre with a goal in raising up fully matured believers and powerful leaders that will make an impact for Jesus. They currently running discipleship courses and an interns program (diploma).

Ministry History: In 2006, Christo and Sarah obeyed the call of God, moved to Chennai, India and planted Living God Church with just a handful of people. Gathering every Sunday, the small group outgrew the space as Christo shared the Gospel and invited others door to door. As the group of believers and seekers grew, the Church moved to several different facilities and 2 separate campuses to accommodate the growth. In 2014, as both campuses reached capacity for both members and staff, Living God Church moved to a large, 4-storey facility and merged the congregations. Today, there are more than 500 members and many fruitful facets of ministry that powerfully reach the community and see lives transformed!

Prayer Requests:

  • Salvation of the lost and the demonstration of God's miracle power in those who would oppose the work of Christ.

Location: Worldwide

Ministry Focus: For a number of years Carina and I have felt a stirring in our hearts. It is a sense of calling to a task we were willing to accept and yet uncertain as to how it would come about and when it would be asked of us. This burden is defined by an inescapable passion for evangelism and revival in our beloved Canada, as well as a desire to minister, strengthen and pour into global missions leaders and works.

We are persuaded that the time to launch into a new full time role outside of pastoral ministry is now. What will we be doing, the Lord willing? By God’s grace, we will be fulfilling the role of a “Missionary/Evangelist and Pastor to Leaders”.

A) To serve, at the invitation of PAOC International Missions and our International Partnerships. This role will include itinerant evangelism in strategic locations overseas and speaking at Pastors, leadership and prayer conferences. It may also include leading prayer and missions exposure teams into potential new fields. There will be opportunities to engage in overseas church planting efforts both with PAOC global workers and national leaders in the field. Another significant piece will be encouraging local Canadian churches to increase their engagement in missions through preaching and consulting with pastors and missions committees. Building and nurturing relationships with key individuals displaying a generous heart for evangelism and missions will also be part of the role. All of this will mean multiple international trips annually, as well as ministry in Canadian churches as doors are opened by the PAOC and our current friendships.

B) To answer the call of “Evangelism to Canada”. - Evangelism and revival for Canada has burned in our hearts for decades. We feel deeply called to this vision. - We are responding to a specific word of the Lord to our hearts a number of years ago to a “Missionary to Canada” calling. This ministry is undefined at the moment. As we fulfill the responsibilities and opportunities through the open doors of PAOC missions, we will have the privilege of ministering to pastors and leaders across the nation. We believe the Lord will lead from there. - It may include evangelistic meetings, conferences, church planting initiatives and mobilizing of workers and funds for these purposes. It will include activity and ministry that we haven’t even dreamed of yet. As God opens the doors, we will be ready to go through them. Would you join us in faith for our new ministry challenge? www.brentcantelon.com

Thank you so much, With sincere and much love, Brent and Carina.
