Parkwood’s Marriage Mentoring Program is a hands on method of mediation and negotiation empowering couples to solve their own issues. It’s unique in that it’s designed to be effective for premarital couples, couples wanting to enrich their marriage, and couples in crisis. The role of the mentor is to mediate, teach biblical truth, and confront core issues. It is very biblical, as mentors and mentees are provided with a 21-page scripture reference guide. All mentor couples have received training and are taught how to use scripture each session in a progressively deep way that is very effective. The program runs anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks, depending on the needs of the couple, and is focused specifically on their life issues. Each couple completes an extensive survey using a diagnostic tool which is very impactful as it extracts all the areas of health and of concern. In order to be considered for the program, both husband and wife must complete and submit a request form, as it takes both parties to be mentored effectively. Weekly sessions will take place in the home of the mentor couple at an agreed upon day and time. The suggested fee of $50 per couple covers the cost of workbooks and material. If the cost is a concern, please let us know, as no one will be turned away due to finances. Upon receipt of your request forms, we will match you with a mentor couple who will call you to make arrangements to begin the mentoring process.
